Alzheimer's Disease is a progressive degenerative brain disorder. It results in the gradual reduction of a person's memory. It starts out with symptoms of seemingly minor forgetfulness, and slowly begins to affect the patient's ability to learn, reason, make judgments, communicate and carry out daily activities. Causes

While scientists know Alzheimer's Disease involves progressive brain cell failure, they have not yet identified any single reason why cells fail.
